Supporting our neighbours

Being a good neighbour is important, and it’s why we’ve chosen to support those closest to us in our communities.

We’re proud to be part of our local communities and want to support the projects that mean something to them. This can be by donating our time or products and materials, or raising funds for those that need it most.

Each of our sites have chosen local charities which we’ll support now up to the end of 2022. After all, being a good neighbour means looking out for those that live closest to you.

Our sites support the following charities:

Barrow Upon Soar

The Barrow Upon Soar Community Association is a registered charity that organises and runs many community activities in Barrow, such as youth theatre, Heritage Group and Barrow Community Library.

The Carpenter Arms is a Christian residential programme for people aged 18-65 who are challenged with homelessness due to an addictive lifestyle.

Kirkby Thore

The Nourished Project is a holistic food bank which provides both food and volunteer opportunities, aiming to help a person’s wellbeing within a friendly and safe environment.

Sherburn

Selby Food Bank supports local people who are referred to them in crisis with three days’ worth of nutritionally balanced emergency food. They are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust.

Robertsbridge

Martha Trust provides inclusive, lifelong care for people with profound physical and multiple learning disabilities.

East Leake

The Tomorrow Project are a confidential, community-based suicide prevention, intervention and postvention service that help and support people in times of struggle.

Hope Church Nottingham is part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust. They also support local people with an advice centre and host local Councillors to help with any local issues.

Fauld

Midlands Air Ambulance is responsible for funding and operating three air ambulance helicopters and two critical care cars that serve the communities of six Midlands counties.

Scouts Association aims to provide fun, adventure and skills for life while giving young people the opportunity to enjoy new adventures, make new friends and gain confidence.
