Horizontal Shaftwall

A free-spanning membrane with no support from the soffit

Shaftwall can be specified for horizontal applications as a free-spanning membrane with no support from the soffit. The membrane can be constructed entirely from below and can achieve spans up to 5100mm and fire resistance up to 120 minutes. A typical application is for fire escape corridors. Supporting partitions should be of at least the same fire resistance period as the horizontal Shaftwall.
