What is the minimum board width stagger?
Staggering boards is critical for fire and acoustic performance, as joints are a weak point within a system. Typically, standard sized boards are staggered by 600mm horizontally and 600mm vertically.
Specific setting out guidance can be found within the White Book section for the relevant system. It is important to remember that all joints must also be skim finished or tape and jointed in accordance with current British Gypsum guidance, which can be found here.
