Description
The Gypframe SIF4 Floor Channel is an insulated metal 'top-hat' channel that reduces impact noise through timber separating floors.
The constant noise of footsteps from above can be a nightmare in flats and apartments. This channel helps prevent it by isolating the upstairs walking surface from the main floor structure.
A key component of the GypFloor Silent system, the channels are simply laid on top of 64mm to 75mm wide timber joists before the walking surface is fitted. They include a special neoprene isolator and side flanges to support the Gyproc Plank that is installed between the joists, adding mass for extra noise reduction.
