Case Study

We help Stile Common Junior School achieve ambitious acoustic and fire targets

We helped Stile Common Junior School reduce plasterboard use and meet the project’s acoustic and fire requirements.

This project at Stile Common Junior School focused on collaborating more effectively to ensure the most competitive specification was used whilst meeting acoustic and fire requirements, as well as to reduce the volume of plasterboard on site and contribute towards the BREEAM rating of Very Good (55 points).

We worked together with the main contractor to specify a single-layer board solution using the Gypframe® 92 I 90 ‘I’ Stud which resulted in 3,400m of plasterboard being removed from the specification.

By working with the project team, we were able to demonstrate and quantify a further two BREEAM points through the use of our high-performance products and services, helping to achieve the 55-point requirement for a BREEAM rating of Very Good.

We care about building better.
