Case Study

Improving cost efficiencies for the Derby Riverlights development

We teamed up with Fairhursts Design Group to price the most competitive specification for Metropolitan and District Development Limited’s Derby Riverlights leisure complex.

Being Trusted With Cost-Efficiency

We were trusted by the project’s main contractor to price the most competitive specification for Metropolitan and District Development Limited’s new 46,451 sq.m development, which includes a bus station with forecourt, as well as bars, restaurants, two hotels, a gym and a casino.

Supply Chain Collaboration

We worked closely with the architect in designing the specifications and issuing a project pack to ensure all details were covered and marked to minimise on-site issues. Over 150 hours were spent on bespoke CAD details for the project pack, ensuring correct specification requirements were achieved, reducing material cost of wall types and providing detailed and consistent specification for accurate pricing.

The Technical Support Manager from British Gypsum also regularly visited the site to offer support and advice during the build, and to present the bespoke CAD details to the site team to ensure they were familiar with the specification. By collaborating with other businesses in the supply chain, we were able to use our in-depth knowledge and expertise to price the most competitive specification, and achieve the best value possible for the customer.

We care about building better.
