BRE Green Guide ratings are generally based on overall construction elements, although Isover insulation products do have individual A+ ratings. The Green Guide is continuously developed and updated by the BRE in terms of their assessment of construction elements.
Does British Gypsum source timber from Sustainably Managed forests?
As one of the UK’s largest purchasers of pallets, British Gypsum want to set the standard for sustainable and responsibly sourced timber. In 2008 the business made a public commitment that by the end of 2010 all timber would come from registered sustainable sources. British Gypsum has been working in partnership with some of the largest timber suppliers in the UK and 100% of timber now comes from sustainable sources.
Uncontaminated Gypsum waste is considered NON HAZARDOUS & NON INERT. However, gypsum dust may irritate the respiratory system, and frequent inhalation of dust over a long period of time increases the risk of developing lung diseases.

What is the recyclability of British Gypsum’s Gyproc plasterboard products?
Gyproc plasterboards manufactured in accordance within BS EN 520 are 100% recyclable. Please request specific details by contacting the British Gypsum Technical Support Team.
