What is the volatile organic compound (VOC) or Formaldehyde content of Gyproc plasterboard?

Based upon indicative testing of a sample of plasterboard products, Gyproc plasterboard is estimated not to contain a VOC content or Formaldehyde content which exceeds the requirements of European voluntary labelling schemes connected with indoor air quality.

As one of the UK’s largest purchasers of pallets, British Gypsum want to set the standard for sustainable and responsibly sourced timber. In 2008 the business made a public commitment that by the end of 2010 all timber would come from registered sustainable sources. British Gypsum has been working in partnership with some of the largest timber suppliers in the UK and 100% of timber now comes from sustainable sources.

Is gypsum waste hazardous?

Uncontaminated Gypsum waste is considered NON HAZARDOUS & NON INERT. However, gypsum dust may irritate the respiratory system, and frequent inhalation of dust over a long period of time increases the risk of developing lung diseases.
