How do I form semi-exposed ceilings?

Glasroc F FireCase or Glasroc F MultiBoard and Gyproc Moisture Resistant (MR) grade boards (e.g. Gyproc FireLine MR) are suitable linings for semi-exposed ceilings providing the boards are protected from direct weathering and driving rain.

What is the vapour resistance of Gyproc WallBoard Duplex plasterboard?

Gyproc WallBoard Duplex and Gyproc FireLine Duplex have a water vapour resistance factor (μ) 1400 EN 14190: 2014. Condensation is common where cold meets warm in areas like roof spaces and external walls. The board's vapour control backing stops condensation entering in these areas, preventing it from affecting the structure of the building.

What is the minimum board width stagger?

Staggering boards is critical for fire and acoustic performance, as joints are a weak point within a system. Typically, standard sized boards are staggered by 600mm horizontally and 600mm vertically.

What is the thermal conductivity of Gyproc ThermaLine laminates?

Our Gyproc ThermaLine laminates comprise of Gyproc WallBoard (thermal conductivity 0.19 W/mK) and rigid foam insulation (thermal conductivity ranges from 0.02 to 0.04 W/mK depending on type). Therefore we do not quote a composite thermal conductivity value but do quote a composite thermal resistance value (m2 K/W).
