Gyproc Habito proves a hit with retailers and shop fitters alike
On the 8th and 9th May we showcased a variety of our innovative solutions for the retail sector, by attending Retail Design Expo at Olympia London. Our interactive and engaging stand was a big hit amongst visitors and helped us to heighten their understanding of our products.
Throughout the two days, visitors to the stand were able to interact with our ThistlePro Magnetic plaster, learn all about the suitability of Gyproc Habito plasterboard for the retail sector, as well as getting their caricatures drawn.
Gyproc Habito provides greater strength and durability than standard plasterboard. It transforms a wall into a working element of the retail environment and reduces the need for pre-planned and pre-installed pattressing, meaning interiors can be redesigned time and time again without the constraint of locating fixtures and fittings – perfect for seasonal promotions.
We also partnered with engineering specialists Cundall for the exhibition, to provide visitors with an interactive demonstration of their award winning Cundall Virtual Acoustic Reality© (VAR). The Cundall team designed a bespoke acoustic model for our stand, which consisted of two retail atria either end of a shopping mall. Each atrium had a coffee concession and, for the purposes of the model, one shop open to it. One atrium had our Rigitone acoustic ceiling boards installed, whereas the other one did not. The Cundall VAR demonstration allowed visitors to “walk” through the spaces and hear how the acoustics changed as they navigated the model in real time.
