Main focus
The project was to build a 4 storey prefabricated Metframe structure onto a concrete basement podium, and concrete/steel deck upper floors. Crosswall construction was used as the superstructure, with British Gypsum partitioning materials for all other walls, ceiling grids, bulkheads and fire protection to the framing. 70mm studding was used throughout for non-loadbearing partitioning and integrated with the 100mm steel loadbearing wall module.
A double layer of 15mm Gyproc WallBoard on all walls gave 1 hour fire protection and 50dB on site acoustic performance, when used with 75mm Isowool 1650 quilt in the loadbearing walls. Double layer 12.5 Gyproc FireLine boards were fixed to Gypframe mf ceiling grids and 15mm Glasroc F FireCase formed the frameless encasement to columns and structural beams.
