British Gypsum’s Children in Need support 2016
In support of Children in Need, British Gypsum staff raised over £5,000 from their Raffle, cake sale , pub quiz and much more
Our brilliant Children in Need Committee members not only arranged a successful pub quiz, they also organised and facilitated this year’s raffle, tombola, cake sale and CSC fancy dress competition.
Kate Read in Geological & Mining also supported with organising prizes for the raffle and also arranged a ‘Guess the sweets’ competition in her department.
Overall, we raised more than £2,500 and the good news is that the company has agreed to match this donation, taking it up to an impressive £5,023.92.
All plants across the business got involved with the Children In Need Raffle this year by arranging the sale of Raffle Tickets, with all proceeds going to the final total. Also many of our external contractors choose to donate prizes, for example Eddie Tennant from Coke Turner Chartered Mineral Surveyors at Rowsley, Near Matlock kindly donated a family ticket to Chatsworth House for 2017. We would not have raised so much money without many of our external customers choosing to support our Children In Need event this year so huge thanks goes out to them.
We look forward to raising even more money next year.
