Whilst we’re working hard to make available as much plaster and plasterboard as we can, we appreciate you also have some specific questions that you’d like a little bit more information on. Detailed below are some of the most frequently asked questions which we hope will help.

When will my usual stockists have new stock of Plasterboard & Plaster

On our solid foundation of established ‘new normal’ Standard Operating Procedures across our mining, manufacturing and logistics, we are increasing the number of colleagues coming back to our workplace, and rapidly scaling up supply from our UK operations. This is giving greater overall volume to be allocated for both Plasterboard and Plaster, week on week, despatching more out to the market to support construction and provide protection for our customers’ and colleagues’ livelihoods and help the recovery of the UK economy

For plasterboard, we are at up to approximately 80% of our pre-pandemic capacity and have been able to significantly increase the volume being allocated to our direct account merchants and distributor customers. For plaster, we are already at 80% of our pre-pandemic capacity and have been able to significantly increase the volume being allocated to our direct account merchants and distributor customers.

Due to the measures we have already taken and our safe, successful re-start of all our manufacturing operations, we are increasing the number of Plaster and Plasterboard loads we are sending out each week, and will have increased the amount we are sending out weekly by 300% by the end of this week.

This product is being delivered to our usual merchant, distributor and DIY stockist customers according to their allocation volumes. Just as we have prioritised our existing merchant, distributor and DIY stockists, many of our partner stockists have the same approach with their existing customers, prioritising their product requirements, so please liaise with your usual stockists regarding your product requirements.

Are you focusing on producing certain products or all products?

Immediate production is matched as much as we can to those products being ordered by our direct customers – i.e. the merchants & distributors.

Whilst we are planning production to get our stock levels back to where they should be for all products, there may be some product groups that will be on an extended lead-time for a little while, as we complete our phased approach to re-starting manufacturing of our full range.

Are you focusing on supplying certain distribution channels?

We are allocating available product to all of our merchant, distributor and DIY customers fairly.

We have previous experience of operating a fair allocation system positively. Our aim is to ensure product is fairly distributed to all of our existing customers requiring products, whilst allowing us to restore our usual service charter offer as quickly as possible.
