What are STAGGERED, QUIET, QUIET SF, AUDIO, ShaftWall stud partitions?

All our British Gypsum lightweight metal stud partition systems incorporate various plasterboard products offering a range of fire performances, sound insulation and duty ratings. Please refer to WHITE BOOK Chapter 04 Section 01 Page 03 for an overview of our British Gypsum partitions range.

  • GypWall STAGGERED is a non-loadbearing stud partition incorporating a single framework with staggered studs. This provides very high levels of sound insulation with minimal footprint. Please refer to WHITE BOOK Chapter 04 Section 06 Page 02 for further details.
  • GypWall QUIET is a lightweight, non-loadbearing, twin framed acoustic separating wall, often used where a high level of acoustic performance is required. Please refer to WHITE BOOK Chapter 04 Section 07 Page 02 for further details.
  • GypWall QUIET SF is a non-loadbearing partition, which provides high levels of sound insulation achieved through the use of Gypframe RB1 Resilient Bar to provide a high degree of isolation between the Gypframe 'C' Studs and the high performance Gyproc plasterboard lining.   • GypWall AUDIO is a non-loadbearing, twin-frame high performance wall system that provides exceptionally high levels of sound insulation. It is used to separate multi-use facilities, such multi-screen cinemas, exhibition and conference centres. Please refer to WHITE BOOK Chapter 04 Section 09 Page 02 for further details.
  • ShaftWall provides a lightweight, fire resistant structure to protect elements in confined spaces wherever access is limited to one side only. Please refer to WHITE BOOK Chapter 05 Section 02 Page 02 for further details.
