Frequently asked question

What cavity barriers are available?

Regulatory requirements (e.g. Building Regulations Approved Document B) demand that cavities and concealed spaces, in the structure or fabric of a building, are sub-divided or sealed by means of cavity barriers or fire-stopping to restrict the hidden spread of smoke and flames. This is of prime importance since many buildings are honeycombed with concealed cavities and voids within the roofs, floors, and walls.

We offer a range of cavity barrier options based on Gyproc Plasterboards or Glasroc F MULTIBOARD mounted on Gypframe metal or timber framework using similar design and installation principles to our partitions range. Please refer to WHITE BOOK Chapter 06 Section 07 Page 02 for more details.
