Q: Can a fire resistant metal I
stud partition be boarded on one side only?
A: It can be, but the fire resistance offered
will only be for short periods. If construction can only be carried
out from one side but fire performance is a requirement in both
directions then the British Gypsum Shaftwall system would be the
best solution.
