Main Focus
The main focus of this fast-track project was to provide a
lightweight partitioning system, requiring high levels of sound
attenuation, and be cost effective without devaluing the
performance criteria.
Challenge
The challenge was to meet the high levels of sound
insulation required for the music rooms to maintain acoustic
privacy to clients' expectations and to withstand the normal wear
and tear associated with such areas.
Solution
The solution was to construct 70mm
GypWall CLASSIC metal stud
partitions, lined with a double layer of Gyproc SoundBloc on
either side. The complete system, with Isover Acoustic Partition
Roll in the cavity, provided a fast-track and lightweight but
robust partitioning system, offering high levels of sound
insulation on a nominal overall thickness
