substantiation. The Building Test Centre offers a wide range of
construction expertise covering the areas of fire, acoustics and
structures.
All facilities are available on one site allowing a building
system to be fully evaluated utilising a single visit.
The resultant test centre is now one of the most well respected
test facilities in Europe with a range of facilities not matched
anywhere else within the UK.
Furthermore the historic links between the test centre and the
gypsum industry ensures that the laboratory has an industry focus,
leading to a full appreciation of the testing needs of building
system designers and building material producers.
The test centre holds UKAS accreditation for fire, acoustic and
structural test methods and is notified by the UK government for a
range of test methods under the new EN test methodology.
