Gypframe 'C' Studs

Gypframe 70 S 60 'C' Studs

Used as the vertical support in wall framing, these products are available in a range of widths, lengths and gauge depending on requirements for strength, height, impact resistance and sound insulation.

The Gypframe ‘C’ Stud design includes sight lines down the legs of the stud to ease board alignment and increase profile strength. Structural apertures are also spaced along the spine of the Gypframe ‘C’ Stud, providing easy routing of services through a partition. Conforms to EN 14195.

How do you extend the length of Gypframe metal stud?

This can be achieved by ‘splicing’ two studs together with an overlap of 600mm minimum, then fixing together using Wafer Head Drywall Screws (two to each flange). Please refer to White Book Chapter 04 Section 01 Page 07 which includes details for Gypframe ‘C’ studs, AcouStuds and ‘I’ studs.

Which partition types provide high acoustic performance with minimum impact to space?

GypWall CLASSIC using Gypframe AcouStuds, GypWall QUIET SF and GypWall STAGGERED are all good options to meet this requirement.

What stud types are used with Rigidur?

A single layer of Rigidur H can be fixed to Gypframe 70 S 60 'C' Studs. When used as an outer layer over plasterboard, Rigidur H should be fixed to Gypframe 70 AS 50 AcouStuds or Gypframe 146 AS 50 AcouStuds.
