The British Gypsum Certified Plasterer Scheme provides homeowners with a platform to find excellent Certified Plasterers in their area; whilst supporting our plasterers with new products, customer guidance and an underwritten guarantee.
The British Gypsum Certified Plasterer Scheme
The Scheme provides a service to allow homeowners to easily access quality plasterers whilst having the additional assurance that it is underwritten with a two-year guarantee from us.
The Scheme is accessed via the Rooms Made For You website, or by calling 0115 784 2354. All homeowners requesting information about plaster products will receive information about the Scheme.
A plasterer on the Scheme can say that British Gypsum has assessed their work and approved them for membership as one of the top tier of plasterers in the country, offering a quality, professional service to their customers.
What’s in it for me?
By joining the British Gypsum Certified Scheme you will become part of an elite group of tested and approved plasterers.
You will be able to offer your domestic customers peace of mind through quality assurance and a guarantee of workmanship from the country’s largest and oldest manufacturer of plaster products.
British Gypsum will support you with training and promotional material and will publicise your business through the Scheme on the Rooms Made For You website. In addition you will be first to hear of any of our new products and may be involved in trialling them.
Certification and a two-year guarantee of workmanship is an excellent way to stand out from the others in the market.
How it works for the homeowner
The Scheme allows homeowners to be contacted by plasterers who are on the Certified Plasterer Scheme.
The homeowner enters their details onto our Rooms Made For You website, their details are passed onto the closest Certified Plasterer and you are asked to contact the customer.
The homeowner will expect a call so that you can discuss their requirements, and you will be given the opportunity to quote for the job.
The homeowner will then decide if they wish to progress.
Following the job, we will contact the customer to ensure they received good customer service and that they are happy with the job in line with the Code of Conduct of the Scheme.
Why will the homeowner use this Scheme?
The homeowner has the peace of mind and assurance that the plasterer they select has been assessed by British Gypsum and that the work is guaranteed for a period of two years.
In addition, they will get a plasterer that adheres to our Code of Conduct.
How to join?
You must be able to satisfy the following criteria to ensure we only get the best plasterers on the scheme:
- Have at least three years’ experience working in the retro-fit residential arena
- Have run your own plastering business for at least one year
- At least 50% of your day-to-day work is in domestic properties
- Provide 3 homeowner customer references to demonstrate a high level of customer service
- Be prepared to pass an on-site assessment of your work and service, carried out by the British Gypsum team
There will eventually be an annual fee of £250.
