East Leake upgrade

The all-new £55 million East Leake plaster plant includes both mine and site renovations. The new plant incorporates the latest technology and best practice from more than 60 of our sister plaster-manufacturing sites across the world.

The new plant manufactures plaster from high-grade natural gypsum rock, extracted and processed on the site from the existing mine, which has been modernised and re-equipped as a part of the project.

Demand for plasters is continuing to grow due to change in UK building methods and recent regulatory and legislative changes, all of which favour plaster and plasterboard based constructions.
