Putting Magnetic plaster to the test
Find out how Imogen can change her home décor without any redecoration
Imogen Blundell was excited to get the keys to her first home, a traditional character terrace in Bedfordshire. She had lots of ideas for bringing the décor up to date - in particular she wanted breathe new life into a dated fireplace.
Old-fashioned and unattractive, the brickwork around Ms. Blundell’s fireplace had been damaged by the previous owners mounting a television and leaving the rawl plugs exposed. “I wanted to cover up the brickwork and replace it with a feature wall,” described Ms. Blundell. “I’ve travelled a lot and collected lots of unique souvenirs along the way - when I heard about Thistle Magnetic Plaster I thought it would be a good way to display my collection.”
Providing flexibility on décor decisions
The appeal of magnetic plaster for Ms. Blundell was the flexibility of an interchangeable display area and she couldn’t be happier with the result. “I had in my mind a relaxing room with an inviting feel, free from clutter,” she explained. “I was drawn to the magnetic plaster because of the option to display a few items at a time, switching them around whenever I fancy a change. I’ve now painted the wall a pastel pink and it looks great with all my bits and bobs on the wall – it’s exactly what I hoped to achieve.”
Imogen is now really proud of her new living room displaying items that express her personality and individuality. Having tackled the living room, Imogen is now looking to add Thistle Magnetic Plaster to other areas of her home.
